The Eastern Samar State University, Main Campus, Borongan City is pleased to invite researchers, faculty and graduate students from your university/college/institution to submit research abstracts for consideration at the 4th International Conference on Integrative Disaster Risk Reduction Management (ICIDRRM) which will be held on 4 – 6 September 2017 in ESSU Main Campus, Borongan City, Philippines. This year’s conference theme: “Managing our Future by Managing Disasters” will focus on innovative ideas and best practices aimed at addressing change and complexity associated with resolving man-made and natural disasters that continuously threaten humanity’s quest for survival.

                The conference will accept papers on the following four (4) thematic areas, namely: risk assessment, risk management, disaster response and sustainable development that is anchored on the National Climate Change Action Plan’s seven strategic priorities: food security, water-efficiency, ecosystem and environmental stability, human security, climate-smart industries and services, sustainable energy, and knowledge and capacity development.

There will be plenary and parallel paper presentations on the following sub-themes: Agriculture and Entrepreneurship; and Agriculture and Food Security.
